Wednesday Postcard Blogging

Today's postcard:

The caption on the back:

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA

Skyline view of downtown Oklahoma City. What is now the site of Oklahoma's capital and largest city was barren prairie on the morning of April 22, 1889. By nightfall the population numbered 10,000. Indian land was on that day opened to white settlement. The City is in the midst of an oil field; there are even wells on the capital lawn.
